How can I edit the Pay Schedule details such as the frequency and working days?


To edit the pay schedule details:

  • Go to Settings in the top right corner.
  • Select Pay Schedule from the options, and you will find various customizations.

Note: You can change the pay schedule only before you complete your first pay run. To edit the pay schedule if you’ve processed pay runs, delete all pay runs, both draft and approved, and proceed to change your pay schedule accordingly. Remember that you can change the Pay Day even after processing a few payrolls.

Let’s go through them one by one.

Work Week: Select the number of days your business works in a calendar week. This will define the work week for salary calculations.

Monthly Salary Calculation: Choose whether you want to calculate your employees’ monthly salary based on the actual number of days in a month or a fixed number of days.

  • If you select Actual number of days in a month, the salary will be calculated according to the work week you’ve configured, considering weekends as work days.
  • If you select Fixed number of days, the pay will be calculated based on the number you provide.

Pay Date: Select the date you want to pay your employees’ monthly salaries.

First Pay Period: Specify the month you wish to run your first pay run in Zoho Payroll.

  • Click Save.

Your pay schedule will be updated.
