How do I update an employee’s salary?


There are two ways in which you can update your employees’ salary.

  1. If you want to change the distribution of the CTC among the different salary components:

    • Go to the Employees tab.
    • click the employee and navigate to the Salary Details tab.
    • Click the edit icon.
    • Make the necessary changes to the salary components. You will not be able to change the CTC.
    • Click Save.
  2. If you want to update the CTC:

    • Go to the Employees tab.
    • click the employee and navigate to the Salary Details tab.
    • Click Revise Salary.
    • Increase the employee’s CTC by a percentage, or enter a new CTC.
    • You can also change the amount allocated for each earning and reimbursement component.
    • Enter the Effective From month and Payout Month.
      • Effective From - The revised salary will be applied to the employee from this month.
      • Payout Month - The revised salary will be paid to the employee on this month.
    • Click Save.
